Our Preschool classrooms have a 1:8 teacher-to-child ratio. This means one teacher for every eight preschoolers, which meets Toronto’s daycare regulations, ensuring a safe and premium childcare experience.
- What curriculum is included in the Preschool program?
Our Preschool program incorporates a proprietary, proven blend of Core Knowledge and Montessori, providing a dynamic, child-centered approach to learning. This combination supports cognitive, emotional and social development in a nurturing environment, giving Preschoolers a strong foundation for future growth in our Montessori daycare and beyond.
- Where are The Learning Nest Preschool programs offered?
We offer our Preschool program at both of our Learning Nest Academy locations in Toronto; North York and The Junction. No matter which campus you choose, your child will receive the same great Preschool curriculum and preparation for Kindergarten. Both academies are led by passionate early childhood educators and equipped with our premium learning environments. Contact us to discuss availability at the location that works best for you!
- How will the Preschool program prepare my child for Kindergarten?
Our Preschool program is specifically designed to give your child the best start possible for school. We lay a strong foundation in early literacy, math, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills, so that by the end of Preschool your child is ready to thrive in JK/SK. The curriculum balances structured lessons with creative exploration, encouraging each child to learn at their own pace while developing key skills for Kindergarten.
- How do you keep parents involved or informed in Preschool?
Communication remains very important in the preschool years. We continue to offer live camera access in every classroom, so you can peek in on your child’s day at any time online. Our educators also share updates about what the children are learning and any important moments or achievements. Plus, we hold parent-teacher meetings to keep you involved. Through the Kindertales app, and an open-door policy, we make sure you stay well-informed and connected to your preschooler’s experience.
